Much like the value added service for cataloging items, SELCO Online Library members may send their serials to SELCO and a SELCO staff member will create a prediction pattern for that serial. The prediction pattern will be established as published in the serial. The SELCO staff member will create a pattern that will be ready to be used in Serials Checkin. Publishers do routinely change publication patterns, and either the prediction pattern or the issue will need to be edited if that does occur.
To initiate this service, library staff should contact the Help Desk allowing SELCO staff to better track the requests and assign the work accordingly.
