Downloadable Audiobooks Support - NetLibrary

Implementation and support for downloadable audiobooks.  At present, there are two well-known services for downloadable audiobooks, NetLibrary and Overdrive.  MINITEX provides NetLibrary services for Minnesota and is in use by all current customer libraries.  Overdrive can be used in the future if there is interest in the region.

The customer library is responsible for negotiating a contract with MINITEX http://www.minitex.umn.edu/ for NetLibrary and carrying out all local work required for patrons to use the service.  SELCO is responsible for implementing and supporting authentication so that only patrons from the customer library can use the service.  SELCO is also responsible for creating links to the service on the library's individual Online Resources page and HIP profiles.
