An update from CBBMLL
We're working on a smaller scale as the Chatfield project continues beyond its original LSTA grant period, but SELCO staff continue to make steady progress in the cataloging of the CBBMLL sheet music materials at SELCO. We've created a total of over 560 new records since the first of the year and are continuing to add new records to OCLC WorldCat each week. The circulation numbers for CBBMLL have been extremely good. Following the end of the original period, an average of 2,364 items is checked out each month. Also, SELCO is pleased to welcome Mitchel Hayden, whose assistance with pre-cataloging data entry will allow cataloging staff to create new catalog records more quickly than ever before.

A Southeast Musical Heritage - Cataloging CBBMLL
Working with the Chatfield Brass Band and Music Lending Library (CBBMLL) , SELCO will assist with sorting donated sheet music which has not yet been incorporated into the CBBMLL collection and the SELCO online bibliographic database. Project staff will perform original cataloging based on criteria established for the FY 2008-2009 LSTA Community Libraries as Online Partners project.
