Summary Bulletin:
Effective immediately, there will be a change to the spine breaker that the Local Call Number Type uses when a spine label is generated directly off the item record in Horizon. While very few libraries are using the spine label printing function, it is a change in the Horizon system. This change may be an extra encouragement for any library who would like to move to single print spine labels, saving staff time in creating the spine labels and smoothing their workflow.
This change should only affect libraries printing spine labels off one at a time. Anyone doing an export to Word and printing them off a sheet at a time may also be affected but it is hoped that it is lessening your work of editing the labels.
