Migration Bulletin - 48 Fast Adds---New Acquisitions

The ILS operations committee upon the recommendation of the Bibliographic Services Committee has determined that Fast Add bibliographic records created for MUST comply with the minimum standards establish in October of 2000; to whit:

• title / author + GMD if non-book item + abridged or unabridged if talking book


• ISBN, ISSN, or Publisher number in the unused ISBN or ISSN field

Use of Fast Add for new materials is NOT allowed. Under previous rules; The first library to add a new title item to the database must create a satisfactory bibliographic record for that item.

Failure to comply with these instructions could result in loss of cataloging privileges. Please contact Kirby at SELCO for further information.
